Waiting on Wednesday: Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell

For those of you who don't know "Waiting On" Wednesday is an event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. The purpose is to let others know which book you are anticipating and can't wait til it comes out to read it.

Cloud Atlas
Paperback, 509 pages
Published August 17th 2004 by Random House

Synopsis:

A reluctant voyager crossing the Pacific in 1850; a disinherited composer blagging a precarious livelihood in between-the-wars Belgium; a high-minded journalist in Governor Reagan’s California; a vanity publisher fleeing his gangland creditors; a genetically modified “dinery server” on death-row; and Zachry, a young Pacific Islander witnessing the nightfall of science and civilisation—the narrators of Cloud Atlas hear each other’s echoes down the corridor of history, and their destinies are changed in ways great and small.

In his captivating third novel, David Mitchell erases the boundaries of language, genre and time to offer a meditation on humanity’s dangerous will to power, and where it may lead us.

Why I am Waiting:

I know this book has already come out but I saw the movie this past weekend and I just have to read the book. I am waiting for the book to arrive in the mail. My plan is to read it with my brother and we are going to listen to the audiobook. The movie was so good I just need to share my waiting for the book to arrive in this weeks meme. I really need to read the book soon. =]
If you haven't heard of the book or movie I definitely think you should check it out.

Also I forgot to mention Happy Halloween to everyone and I hope you all have a safe night.

Also Don't forget to enter my Giveaway that is going on. =]
